Cirth was an alphabet devised by the Sindar in Beleriand for inscriptions, and later adapted in modes of varying elegance by the Noldor of Eregion and various groups of Men, Dwarves, and Orcs.
In Quenya, Cirth was called Certar and in Westron Runes.
