Today we woke up at sunrise for our 1st dive of the day - our deep dive!
which is the last part of our advanced diver certificate course. We dove
down to 30 meters. At 30 meters sometime divers experience something called
Nitrogen Narcosis, it's a drunk feeling, it's not dangerous to the body
but you could do something stupid, so all you have to do is ascend a couple
meters and it instantly disappears! I didn't get any of the symptoms and
neither did Sid. While down at 30 meters we saw a big moray eel sticking
his head out of his hole and also a giant Wrassy under the boat. We pulled
up anchor and headed for one of the Whitsunday Islands for our last dive
of the trip. I forgot to take a seasick pill. The waters were really rough.
When looking at this photo, notice the angle of the boat against the horizon.

Our captain (Sharkey) and his crew were unaffected. A few people got sick,
the worst being an individual getting sick in the dining area below (No,
it wasn't me or Sid), but I was able to hold it in until we got to the
island. Hook Island was the spot of our last dive, it was shallow - perfect
for bringing the underwater camera. hopefully I got some good shots and
will be able to scan and post everything when I get a chance. We made
it back to the harbor and back to the hostel where we dropped and got
some much needed sleep.
