Today's first
dive was another training dive towards our advanced diver certificate.
We're still at Net Reef and we did a multi-level dive. We go down to 18
meter for a time then ascend a few meters for a time and ascend a little
more. Our second dive was a pleasure dive along a reef wall, the water
was extremely deep, so we had to watch our depth carefully. The 3rd dive
of the day the boat moved to a new reef called Bait Reef. We did a "drift
dive" - the current moves you along so you don't have to swim as much.
We finally saw something different - a shark! It was about 6-8 feet long,
not too big, but cool! When we ascended and were near the boat, there
were a bunch of fish called Trevalys. They're fat and about 2-4 feet long.
The crew aboard the boat was throwing food into the water so the fish
were in a frenzy. We had to swim up through them, they were harmless,
they would get close enough to brush up against you. The 4th dive of the
day was another night dive which I passed on because of a bad headache.
